Dancing in Jazz Age Shanghai

During the 1920s and 30s, the Chinese elites, especially in Shanghai, embraced European modernism, and with it the modern dances of the age.

The first is a collection of video clips from Chinese films of the 1930s, showing social dancing.  The second is an exhibition Tango, Chinese style.
